We're excited to announce that the next speaker for VCD will be Tomás Méndez Echenagucia, an associate professor at the university of Washington department of Architecture! The talk will take place at Structurecraft's Vancouver office, with doors opening at 5:30 and the talk starting at 6:00. The talk will be streamed at https://www.twitch.tv/vcdtalks.

In his talk, Tomás will review how multi-disciplinary optimization can be used to design building components with two case studies. The first will show the parametric modelling, numerical analysis, and prototyping acoustic metamaterials with ventilated sound barriers, and the second will review a vibro-acoustic study of cross laminated CLT floors.
